GAMUT
A live performance is the only way to truly appreciate the diversity of this five piece Rock & Roll band. Their great mix of covers have been carefully selected to keep the crowd dancing and pleading for more at the end of the night! GAMUT have been together for several years, going through various name and and a few member changes, all the while developing it's unique blend of entertaining music. Ranging in style from the 60's on up, GAMUT can capture a crowd like very few other bands out there. Chances are, if you've seen them before, they've brought back a memory or two, and maybe even created new ones in the process! One thing is certain, GAMUT Rocks!!!

Ed - Bass, Vocals
Ed made his GAMUT debut in April 2008.
In his early years, his first instrument was the euphonium, which is a bass instrument that gives voice to interesting counter-melodies in orchestral and band arrangements. It also laid the foundation for his instrument of choice, the bass guitar... In high school, Ed was exposed to his 1st live rock band, and was gob-smacked by the low frequency sound waves filling the auditorium and driving through his chest...it was "love at first sight". Being self-taught, he developed a rather unorthodox method of playing. This style includes a string tuning of "B", "E", "A" and "D"...hmmm...no "G-string" to play with?!?!
Influences include: Dennis Dunaway, Geezer Butler, John Paul Jones, Roger Glover, Jack Bruce, Jeffrey Hammond, Mel Schacher, Ray Schulman, Randy Jo Hobbs, James Jamerson, Louis Yacknin, Jim Clench and Ottawa's own Brian Rading...

Brian - Guitar, Vocals
Brian is the newest addition to GAMUT, joining the band in June 2008... He brings many years of experience to the table, most recently being the driving force behind another local band "Naked Fridays". He is very versatile with either an electric or acoustic, 6 and 12 string... One thing he has learned over the years is that tone and expression speak volumes over speed and noise.
Influences include Alice Cooper, Steve Vai, Jessie Cook, Joe Walsh and Jimmy Page...
