Hi guys , just wanted to bring you up to date on the latest GAMUT happenings .
GAMUT is proud to announce an upcoming show in Barrhaven , at Greenfield's Irish Pub and Eatery , on Fri. 8th Aug .

Greenfield's is an AWESOME venue to checkout live bands and the staff are very friendly and HOT !!! The food is delicious and the beer is ice cold ! The house sound and light system , expertly engineered by Lars , is pro-quality and ROCKS BIG TIME !!!
Definitely make plans to bring your party to Greenfields on Aug 8 and enjoy a great night of food , drink and dancing to the whole GAMUT of rock and roll !!!
Right now , many new songs are being tossed around the band practice room and there are no shortages of fresh ideas being brought forward . We will be constantly adding new songs to our setlists and if there is a tune you would like to hear , send us a guestbook message and we'll get busy putting it together for you . We love you guys and gals and we will see you all very soon !

Hi all ! We recorded our gig at a private party this past weekend and we've posted 6 tunes on our Myspace for you to enjoy!

We think it sounded really good considering we were playing in a big room which had BROKEN air conditioning , 100+ degrees F , 80% humidity and the constant peril of ANACONDA SNAKES dropping down from the ceiling due to the JUNGLE / RAINFOREST conditions we were performing in !!! GAMUT are thrilled to announce the addition of new guitarist Brian Carr... Brian has plenty of stage experience , as he was the driving force behind another local band , "Naked Fridays". He will definitely add to the overall sound of GAMUT ! Look out folks ! GAMUT as a 5-piece ??? WOW !!! This will give us added versatility when it comes to song selection, which we were somewhat limited to as a 4-piece... We'll be able to expand to even more musical styles that will keep the crowd dancing all night long!!! Brian will make his official debut June 27th @ The Carleton Tavern . Hope to see you all there for yet another new chapter in GAMUT's history !!!

Hi again everyone ! It's been a while since we've chatted , so here's the scoop . Well , we've had a very busy last couple of months , with Paul leaving the band and Ed taking over bass and vocal duties . GAMUT would like to express their sincere appreciation and acknowledge Paul's unique contribution to the band over the years and we wish him all of the best in his future music endeavours .

Ed has stepped-up to the plate and is doing a FANTASTIC job ! We are extremely fortunate and proud to have him on board ROCKIN OUT with us ! ED really knows how to push up the low end when people are getting busy on the dance floor ! We recently played in Manotick at Kelly's Welcome and we had an awesome time partying with everyone ! ( next time , no Hannibal Lector masks please ! ) We will be returning there next Sat. 7 June , for the " Dickenson Day " massive party and we expect the bar to be absolutely rippin' with Dickenson revellers . Our most recent gig last Sat. at the Carleton Tavern proved to be one of the BEST gigs we've played to-date . We blew the roof off of the place and everyone had a fantastic night of fun ! Our latest guestbook entry from our newest fans ; Tim , Brad , Ally and Jewel , will have you convinced that you MUST come and check us out at a venue near you soon ! Thanks guys and gals for the support !
2008 is proving to be GAMUT's best year yet and we constantly look for ways to improve our stage show and set lists , so that you guys and gals can come out to a gig and enjoy an awesome night of great music and fun ! We'll see you soon !

Guys and gals , if you want to go to a rockin' bar out in Manotick , check out Kelly's Welcome Irish pub . We just played two nights there and MAN , do they know how to party ! The staff is just TOO HAWT and C.A. RULES behind ( and on top ! ) of the bar . Our next gig is at the Carleton Tavern this Fri the 4th April and we will be introducing a new GAMUT member , Ed Bolton to the band that night . Ed is an amazing bass player and vocalist and he brings a lot of rock to the lineup ! We'll see you soon at " The Carleton " !

Hey-Ho here we go ! We just received confirmation from the 2008 Russell Fair entertainment organizer , that GAMUT will be rocking the assembled masses this year at the Russell Fairgrounds ! We are very excited to perform there again as everyone had a BLAST and let's see if we can all drink the place dry again like last year ! We'll start right after the demolition derby , so if there are only Chevy's left out there slamming it , we could have a late start ! ( Chevrolet forever !- Joe ) . By the way , congrats to Dodge on winning the Daytona 500 . That Charger is one bad-ass ride and the new 2009 Challenger is WAY too cool looking ! We are performing this Sat. 23 Feb at the Carleton Tavern and we would love to see some familiar faces on the dance floor . There are quite a few folks confirmed to drop by , so get there a bit earlier to scoop a good table . On the music front , we are presently working on new material and we will be introducing awesome hits to our setlists throughout the spring and onward through the year . 2008 will be GAMUT's BEST year so-far and we plan on working very hard to keep you guys and gals rockin' at our shows ! We would like to thank EVERYONE for partying with us on new year's eve at the Lucky 7 . The place was hopping and the food was awesome ! The dance floor was jammed with new year's revellers and they enjoyed a great night of rock and roll !
We recently played the Carleton tavern and Tucson's and had a few people who have never seen the band , come up and congradulate us on a great show and how good of a time they had that night ! They loved our wide range of song choices and were very impressed with how we performed them .
It's a good feeling to win over new fans of the band and it renews our enthusiasm and drive to persevere and make 2008 , our best year to rock Ottawa ! GO SENS GO !!!

We here at the GAMUT organization , ( the 4 of us ! ) , would like to extend our best wishes and Merry Xmas to you and your family for the holidays .

We are really excited about performing some great tunes for you this New Years eve at the Lucky 7 in Embrun and from what we've heard about the ticket sales , you 'd better get yours NOW before they are all sold out !
Management has told us that they will have an AMAZING hot and cold buffet .

Hi all ! We had a great time entertaining everyone last night at the Lucky 7 Bar and Restaurant in Embrun .
The crowd was a bit smaller in size this night , possibly due to the Senator's game and the Embrun annual xmas parade , which was winding it's way through the town , but the people who showed-up , more than made up for it in their enthusiasm and dancing ! A funny thing happened on our way to Embrun . A Xmas float being towed behind a pickup was going about 80 kph and wrapped presents on the float were being scattered all over the highway and then being runover by cars behind them ! I bet they didn't have a scrap of anything on that float when they arrived ! At the gig , a few tables of folks decided to stay after supper and check-out GAMUT for their New Year's eve plans and they told us that they will definitely be back with lots of friends to rock-in 2008 with GAMUT ! The Lucky 7 is going ALL-OUT for the New Year's eve party buffet , serving a huge hot and cold buffet and a vast variety of other treats , PLUS , great music from GAMUT , all for the awesome price of $ 25.00 , per person !!! Trust us , the food there is AWESOME and we are going to put on a great show for everyone , so if you are still not sure of your party plans for New Year's eve , the Lucky 7 in Embrun WILL be the place to be , for sure !

Holy Mackinaw boys , did we ever have a great time Fri night at Tuscons ! The place was packed and everyone danced their asses off and partied it up BIG TIME ! We would like to hugely thank everyone for coming out and making Fri. night one of the most memorable gigs we've done to date ! Once again , we owe a big thanks to Tucson's house sound tech , Trevor , who provided us with pro-quality sound throughout the night . We performed Finger Eleven's " Paralyzer " for the first time and we could see everyone in the bar rocking-out to it when we kicked it in . COOL !
The only bummer thing that happened during the night was some mental defective played demolition derby out in the parking lot on Joe's van and a nice new Jeep Liberty and then they split . If this " person " , ( ed. I'm trying to keep my rant family-friendly ) , persists in playing smash 'em up , Ottawa's phone book will soon be half-full of autobody shops !
Who cares right ? It's only sheetmetal ! Anyway , back to music !
GAMUT is going to be rocking the Lucky Seven Bar and Restaurant this coming Sat. 24 Nov. and we would LOVE to see some familiar faces that night .
We are pumped about playing there again , as it's a big bar with a big stage and big sound ! If your in the area and you have some friends who want to dance and party , drop on by and have a GREAT time with us at the Lucky Seven in Embrun ! It's been a while since we've posted news on here and we've been busy as usual with gigs , band practices and learning new tunes for you guys and gals . We had a fantastic Halloween party at the Carleton tavern and GAMUT rocked a full house ! Check-out the pics posted in our gallery , of everyone dressed-up . Ken was " The king of shock rock ", Alice Cooper , Paul was a groovy 60's hippy bass-player dude , Joe was a 70's funkadelic guitar player and Chris was Peter Kriss , the drummer from Kiss . We would like to thank everyone for coming-out to " The Carleton " and having an awesome time with us !
Our next show is at Tucson's Roadhouse on Fri. 16 Nov and it's Ken's birthday party that night ! We have quite a few friends coming out to woop-it-up that night so be sure to show-up early to get a good table , close to the stage . If you happen to be planning a company xmas party on Fri. night , bring 'em on over to Tuscon's for great food , drinks , rock and roll and a great time !
In the practice room , we are presently working on songs from the Stone temple pilots , Led Zeppelin and Finger Eleven . We are very excited and eager to perform them for you soon ! In the coming weeks and in 2008 , look for GAMUT to expand our playlist with popular music from new artists . BIG news for 2008 ! We recently were contacted by the Metcalfe Fair organizers and they were very gracious to ask us to entertain everyone at the 2008 Metcalfe Fair , on Thurs 2 Oct . !!! Mark that night down on your calender guys and gals as GAMUT will be ready and rarin' to hit the stage !

Say What ? Who put that in there ? I was only supposed to let you guys know that we are having a HALLOWEEN BASH at the Carleton Tavern on Sat. , the 27 th Oct. and the status right now is , everyone in the band is going to be dressed-up in costumes and it's going to be one HELL of a great time ! ( Rumour on the street is that a special appearance by the " KING OF SHOCK ROCK " is going to happen !!! ) We'll be sure to post lots of pics of the night's activities in our pic gallery after the show . GAMUT has been quite busy lately rocking Tuscon's , The Russel Fair , a wedding and we will be entertaining the Metcalfe community appreciation party on the 19th Oct .
Ken and Paul will be performing acoustically this Fri. evening , 12 Oct. , at Whisper's Pub , 249 Richmond road . They will cover a wide variety of popular rock/roll and pop songs from the 50's and 60's , all the way up to hits from today's artists . Whisper's Pub is a very nice , comfortable atmosphere to have some great food , enjoy your favorite beverage and have two very talented , home-town Ottawa musicians entertain you with their unique sound ! Oh yeah , I forgot to mention that Chris's new cowbell has spikes on top of it and it sounds AWESOME ! ( I NEED TO HEAR MORE COWBELL ! ) Cheers to all of our fans and we invite you to send in your favorite song requests for us to learn and perform at future shows !

WOWIE-WOW-WOW ! What a night we had at the Russel fair ! There were at least a thousand people there having LOTS of refreshments , ( which resulted in the bar selling-out completely ! ) . We had 12,000 watts of awesome pro sound provided by Alain and Pat from Music Express, located in Embrun . If you like what you've heard that night , be sure to drop by their store and they will hook you up with QUALITY gear , whatever your needs !
GAMUT would like to also thank everyone who showed-up at the show and partied it up BIG TIME ! It was fun to watch everyone dancing and singing along with us and it made us perform to our best , for sure . We'd love to do it all again for you guys next year , so let the local fair commitee members know that GAMUT ROCKS and you want them back ! 'YA BABY !!!

Hi again , GAMUT fans ! We had a fantastic time last night at the Carleton Tavern ! Unbeknownst ( is that a word ? ed. ) to us , the Observer poet was in attendance and he graciously fashioned a clever poem about the night's activities and posted it on our guestbook . Check it out , as it is extremely well-written and entertaining !
The Observer poet is Mr.David E. Butler and he has included his e-mail address for anyone to contact him , ( should you require the services of an Observer poet at your next function ! ) . We are really getting pumped-up for the coming weekend , which will see GAMUT doing back to back shows at Tucson's Roadhouse on Fri . the 7th Sept. and then headlining at the Russel fair the next night .
We will have pro sound for both gigs and it's going to ROCK ! If you plan on coming out to see us , definitely spread the word and bring some friends , as it will go down in the GAMUT history books ( where are they stored ? ed. ) , as some of our best performances for sure !

Hey everyone ! We had a very memorable and awesome time rockin' out at this year's Cancer fundraiser , held just outside of Alymer Que .
It was a bummer that rain played into the whole deal , BUT , the gig still went down and whoever stuck it out , had a BLAST ! The whole event was well-organized and there were many hard-working volunteers there to make sure everyone had lots of food , drinks , prizes to win and non-stop entertainment 'till the early hours ! Although the number of people who showed-up was below expectations , they were still able to raise enough funds to surpass last year's goal . There were many generous businesses and individuals who donated money and products for this worthy cause .
COSTCO , really stepped-up to the plate and was extremely supportive of this event . Be sure to pay them a visit sometime , as they were a major factor in the success of this year's Cancer fundraiser .
GAMUT would like to express our sincere appreciation and admiration for Mr. Eric Marcil , who graciously asked us to perform and entertain everyone and it's through the great efforts of Eric and many others who volunteered their time , that someday soon we will knock this disease down , once and for all ! ROCK ON !

We had a BLAST playing at the Russel benefit for a youth park and pigroast party . We would like to thank all of the people who came out to support such a worthwhile event and stayed until the wee hours , dancing and having fun with us ! It was an awesome evening to play outdoors and we enjoyed having lots of room to play ( for a change ! ) and the P.A. sound at night carried quite a ways , I'm sure !
The last pigroast we played at , we had Stittsville's finest drop by and " shut her down " !
Oh well , such is the life of a rock band !

Hi everyone ! Well , we've been very busy lately working on new songs and making sure everything else is still up to speed , which is difficult in the practice room , when it's FREAKING hot out ! We have been getting lots of requests to play some more country rock songs , so right now we are working on " Amazed " by Lonestar and " I like it , I love it " by Tim McGraw . Look for GAMUT to be trying out these songs soon , PLUS , we are going to dust-off the acoustic guitars for a few tunes which will include ABBA's " Dancing Queen " and " Maneater " by Hall and Oates. We are really looking forward to the next few months as we will be rocking outdoors at a few benefit shows and of course , rocking the crowd at this year's Russell fair , on Saturday night !

HUGE GAMUT NEWS everyone !
We are extremely pleased to announce that Chris Lecompte , who was GAMUT's drummer for 18 yr.s , but unfortunately had to take a leave of absence , is returning to the " hot seat " with his drumsticks blazing and feet dancing behind the kit !
Chris is one of Ottawa's best , natural drum talents and he is influenced by many rock drummer greats , such as Led Zepplin's John Bonham .
Look for GAMUT to re-introduce Led Zepp classics , plus we will be working on tunes from many other great classic rock artists !
GAMUT would like to express our deep admiration and respect for another outstanding percussionist , Mr. Rob Fredette , who was our musical foundation for the past 7 months .
We wish nothing but the very best for Rob in his future endeavours and he remains a good friend of the band .
We would like to thank him for expressing his solid support , in our new direction .

Hi and welcome back ! We had a fantastic gig at the Carleton Tavern on Fri night ! We also were very fortunate to have a Bluesfest performer , Jessie and her friend's Jen and Jay , come-up and perform some outstanding blues songs with SMOKING guitar work by Jessie ! Jessie performs at the Rainbow in Ottawa on Thursdays and you would be extremely suprised that a 24 yr. old gal would be playing guitar at a level that would make old pro's stand-up and clap ! She truly is a gifted young lady . Jessie's friend Jen , is her lead singer and they also performed a classic Alice in Chains song - " Rooster " , which captivated everyone . Jen's fiance , Jay got-up and did a fantastic version of Neil Young's , " Like a Hurricane " , replete with awesome solo guitar work on that tune . Jay is in a Kingston -based , alternative rock band called " Revmatic " and you will DEFINITELY be hearing more from these guys as they have great songs and sound amazing ! Keep an eye peeled for them coming to Ottawa soon !

We recieved new information about our upcoming gig at the 2007 Hope festival Cancer fundraiser in Almer Que. on the 25 Aug .
There will be four bands , including GAMUT , who will be entertaining everyone throughout the day and into the early hours . GAMUT is scheduled to hit the stage at 10 p.m. and play until they pull the plug on us !
